We work with school groups to build an excellent educational experience. Alexandria is the perfect classroom to learn American history from the colonial period to the modern day. Send us an e-mail (alexandriahistorytours@gmail.com) or call (804-955-7072) to get more details and learn about student group rates.
For corporate retreats, special events, and other organizations, our goal is to customize our tours to the needs of your group. A guided tour provides a fantastic opportunity for team bonding. We also strive to show examples of leadership from George Washington and other Alexandrians. As a result, our guided tours provide outstanding professional lessons that will help any company or organization.
Send us an e-mail (alexandriahistorytours@gmail.com) or call (804-955-7072) and let us know what you are looking for. We can make Alexandria History Tours work for you and the needs of your group.

If you enjoyed your tour, a gratuity is appreciated. Gratuities can be given in person, through the online booking platform, or Venmo. We highly encourage a gratuity as our guides work very hard to deliver an exceptional experience.

Cancellation and refund is good up to 24 hours prior to the tour. The only exception is if the weather is too severe and conditions are unsafe for the tour.
- 07
We do tours in the rain and snow. We consider severe weather to be hurricane conditions, thunderstorms, or significant snow and ice. If the guide is going out for the tour, the tour is happening. In some cases when we see bad weather, we may reach out in advance to see if guests would like to reschedule. If the weather is too severe on the day of the tour, then there are three options:
Reschedule
Apply store credit for the future
Refund

Our tours are mostly flat and on brick sidewalks. There is accessibility without needing to take stairs. On occasion, the bricks will be loose and uneven.

There is plenty of parking in the area with a lot under Market Square. Parking details are available on the city website: https://www.alexandriava.gov/parking/parking-in-old-town-alexandria

If time permits and the church is open, we will try to go inside Christ Church Episcopal. Christ Church is a historic church that dates to 1773. George Washington attended the church and his box pew is still located inside. If you enjoy your visit to Christ Church, please consider a donation to the church so that it can remain open for visitors throughout the year. Donations can be made online at the following link: Give (shelbygiving.com)
